Travel Vietnam : Ancient Battlefield

This package tour provides tourists an insight into the national history and landscape. Tourists will be amazed at the contrastive picture between graceful Hanoi and dynamic Sai Gon. The combination of different cultures, religions and traditional customs among various ethnic groups is outwardly visible in the Central Vietnam. Such historical sites as Demilitarized Zone, Reunification Palace are typical examples of ancient battlefield in Vietnam.

Day 1: Hanoi – Arrival (-/L/D)

Arrival at Noi Bai airport, ODC Travel’s tour guide and driver will pick you up and transfer to a hotel.
An afternoon tour of Hanoi. Visit The Temple of Literature, Sword Lake – Ngoc Son Temple and Statues King Ly Thai To and Hanoi Old Quarter.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour (B/L/D)

Spend all day exploring Hanoi. Morning visit to Ethnology Museum and History Museum. Have lunch in a restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit Ho Chi Minh Museum, One Pillar Pagoda, Quan Thanh Temple, and Tran Quoc Pagoda. In the evening, enjoy Hanoi’s famed water puppet show.

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong (B/L/D)

After breakfast at your hotel, depart for Halong Bay (170km). Stop over at ceramic and hand embroidery workshops in Hai Duong.
Arrival in Halong Bay. Board a boat for a cruise in Halong Bay. Visit magical grottoes, marvelous islands and relax in the best scenic beauty of Vietnam. Lunch and dinner of fresh seafood are served on boat.
Overnight on boat.

Day 4: Halong – Hanoi (B/L/D)

Spend the morning swimming, kayaking or relaxing in Halong Bay.
After lunch at local restaurant in Halong City, return to Hanoi. On the way back, stop over for visiting Dong Trieu ceramic village and enjoy cakes made of ground green lentils in Hai Duong.

Day 5: Hanoi – Quang Binh (B/L/D)

Transfer to Quang Binh (491km). On the way to Quang Binh, stop – over for taking photos, enjoying the beauty countryside of Vietnam. Have lunch in Vinh. Arrive in Quang Binh in the late afternoon, check in hotel and free time.

Day 6: Quang Binh – Quang Tri (B/L/D)

Have breakfast at your hotel then go to visit Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park. Take a boat on the Son River for visiting Phong Nha – Ke Bang Caves (3hours).
After lunch, transfer to Quang Tri. On the way to Quang Tri, stop over at Hien Luong Bridge, Ben Hai River and then visit to Quang Tri Citadel and Han River.

Day 7: Quang Tri (B/L/D)

Enjoy a full day visit to Quang Tri. Visit Vinh Moc Tunnels, Doc Mieu Base, Con Tien Firebase, Truong Son National Cemetery.
After lunch continue to visit Khe Sanh Combat Base and drive back to your hotel for relaxing.

Day 8: Quang Tri – Hue (B/L/D)

Leave Quang Tri for Hue. Arrival in Hue, check in hotel.
After lunch, take a boat on the Perfume River for visiting Thien Mu Pagoda, Hon Chen Temple and tomb of King Minh Mang. In the evening, enjoy a Hue folk show on the Perfume River.

Day 9: Hue – Danang (B/L/D)

The morning is highlighted with a visit to the Royal Citadel, built in 1804 on a site chosen in accordance with geomancy. And then visit to tomb of King Tu Duc.
In the afternoon, transfer to Da Nang (110km). On the way to Danang, stop over for visiting Lang co Beach and Hai Van Pass.

Day 10: Da Nang – Hoi An (B/L/D)

Before leaving Da Nang for Hoi An, visit Cham Museum.
Arrival in Hoi An, enjoy a trip to explore Hoi An ancient town including Old House of Tan Ky, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, Japanese Covered Brigde and Thu Bon River.

Day 11: Hoi An – Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh (B/L/D)

After breakfast, transfer to Danang airport and take a short flight to Hoi Chi Minh City. Pick up and transfer on arrival.
An afternoon tour of Ho Chi Minh City, formerly called Saigon. Visit Reunification Place and War Remnants Museum.
Overnight at hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 12: Ho Chi Minh (B/L/D)

A day tour of Ho Chi Minh City, formerly called Saigon. Visit the Reunification Palace and Ho Chi Minh Museum.
In the afternoon, visit China Town, Thien Hau Temple and Binh Tay Market.
Overnight at hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 13: Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi Tunnels (B/L/D)

In the morning, transfer to Cu Chi Tunnels, which is considered a heroic district for its role in the anti American war in Vietnam.
Then return to Ho Chi Minh City, free time for relaxation.
Overnight at hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 14: Ho Chi Minh – Departure (B/L/-)

Spend last minutes shopping (embroideries, silk, lacquer ware…) or at leisure before check out. Transfer to the airport for departure.
